Senior People: Every one of our clients has direct access to one of the Seniors. Now that technology has commoditised the processes of accountancy, it’s experience that makes the difference.

Today, my function is almost exclusively consulting. That means I spend my time having in-depth conversations with some of the most interesting people.
I enjoy the thinking. It’s been shaped by decades specialising in complex HMRC investigations. Right from the start of my career, I was deep into Tax Advocacy. My boss had serious clients with serious difficulties. It was excellent training.
Every one of my tax cases has ended with a satisfied client.
I set up on my own in 2008, furthered my knowledge and became a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Having my own firm allows me to keep it personal.
Beyond problem solving, it’s fulfilling to help people (who I end up knowing personally) build their businesses and achieve their life goals. Good accountancy really can be life-changing. There’s also an instant satisfaction when I hear, in almost every first meeting, “I wish I’d met you sooner.”

In the finest detail, you find ways and means of getting things done. I remain acutely informed of developments in legislation and regulation. My idea of a good weekend includes sitting down with Taxation Magazine.
My clients include: private individuals, multinationals with complex tax affairs, privately-held business, family business and single-owner start-ups.
My central expertise is in the taxation of owner-managed businesses (and their owners), property tax and cross-border affairs. I like to think that I bring clarity.
I am a fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (FCCA) and I hold the highest UK tax qualification, Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA), from the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT). I was made a Partner in 2014.Technology enables efficiency. Up to now, I have always been able to make space to take on more clients. New inquiries are welcome.
